PAY_KSA_OH_006 - Define Compensation Models
BAL Application Log Documentation rdisp/max_wprun_time - Maximum work process run timeThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
In this Customizing activity, you define compensation models for occupational hazard. The system uses these models to categorize different ways to calculate the compensation amount that an employee is entitled to.
The defined compensation models are available as the selection options of the Compensation Model field in the Occupational Hazard SA (3312) infotype. Based on an employee's assigned compensation model, the Calculate Compensation for Occupational Hazard (KSA) (SAOH) payroll function calculates the compensation amount and makes the compensation payment according to the method defined in the model.
You have completed all other settings in Customizing for Payroll: Saudi Arabia under Occupational Hazard.
According to the regulation from the General Organization of Social Insurance (GOSI) office, the system provides the following standard implementation:
Name of Compensation | Model Calculation Setting |
---|---|
Death - All Nationalities (Lump Sum) | The SAOH function calculates a lump sum payment of an employee’s 84 months' salary. The total amount has an upper limit of SAR 330, 000. This compensation model applies to employees who died due to the injury or disease related to occupational hazard. |
Permanent Disability with Degree < 50% (Age > 40) - All Nationalities (Lump Sum) | The SAOH function calculates a lump sum payment of 60 months’ salary multiplied by the exact disability degree. The total compensation amount has an upper limit of SAR 165, 000. This compensation model applies to employees who are over 40 years old and whose permanent disability degree is less than 50%. |
Permanent Disability with Degree < 50% (Age <= 40) - All Nationalities (Lump Sum) | The SAOH function calculates a lump sum payment of 60 months’ salary multiplied by the exact disability degree. The total compensation amount has an upper limit of SAR 165, 000. This compensation model applies to employees who are less than 40 years old and whose permanent disability degree is less than 50%. |
Permanent Disability with Degree > 50% - All Nationalities | The SAOH function calculates a monthly compensation that equals the employee's monthly salary multiplied by the disability degree. This compensation model applies to employees whose permanent disability degree is over 50%. |
Permanent Disability with Degree > 50% - Non-Saudi (Lump sum) | The SAOH function calculates a lump sum payment of 60 months’ salary multiplied by the disability degree. The compensation amount has an upper limit of SAR 165, 000. This compensation model only applies to non-Saudi employees whose permanent disability degree is over 50%. |
Permanent Total Disability 100% - Saudi | The SAOH function calculates a monthly compensation payment that equals an employee's monthly salary. The minimum monthly compensation amount is SAR 1, 725. This compensation model only applies to Saudi employees whose permanent disability degree is 100%. |
Permanent Total Disability 100% - Non-Saudi (Lump Sum) | The SAOH function calculates a lump sum payment of 84 months' salary. The compensation amount has an upper limit of SAR 330, 000. This compensation model applies to non-Saudi employees who whose permanent disability degree is 100%. |
Temporarily Disability with 75% daily Allowance | The SAOH function calculates a daily compensation of 75% of an employee's daily payment. This compensation model only applies to employees who are temporarily disabled. |
Temporarily Disability with 100% daily allowance | The SAOH function calculates a daily compensation of 100% of an employee's daily payment. This compensation model only applies to employees who are temporarily disabled. |
