PAY_KW_ABRE_001 - Define Restrictions on Special Absence Types

In this Customizing activity, you define the restrictions for special absence types. When the HR administrator registers leaves for an employee using these special absence types, the specified conditions must be met.
You have defined the absence valuation for these special absence types in Customizing for Payroll Kuwait, under Absences -> Valuation of Absences -> Create Counting Classes for Absence Valuation.
We recommend you maintain limits for absence types that are not related to absence quota allocation.
If you maintain an absence type that is assigned to a certain absence quota, the system uses the smaller value in the following two fields while checking the maximum absent period:
- Maximum Entitlement in Service Duration in this activity
- Maximum Total Entitlement in the Customizing activity Define Generation Rules for Quota Types Selection, under Time Management -> Time Data Recording and Administration -> Managing Time Accounts Using Attendance/Absence Quotas -> Calculating Absence Entitlements -> Rules for Generating Absence Quotas -> Define Generation Rules for Quota Type Selection.
The restriction on an absence type can be a combination of the following settings:
- Employee's gender
- Employee's nationality
- Maximum occurrence (times) during an employee's entire service duration
- Maximum occurrence in a year
- Maximum total period of time during an employee's entire service duration
You can also specify the system reaction if an employee is not allowed to take a specific leave or when any of the above-mentioned conditions is not met.
