PAY_KW_BE_EL001 - Define Pay Scale Criteria

In this step, you define pay scale rules and their attributes so that the employee's pay scale can be used as an additional criterion in the eligibility process.

You want to award a bonus to employees in a particular pay scale group and level. To do this, you can define a pay scale rule and definition, that can then be entered in the appropriate eligibility rule.
- Determine which pay scale rules you want to define.
- Choose New entries.
- Enter a name and a text for your pay scale rule.
- Choose Definition in the navigation area and then choose New entries to access the rule's detail screen.
- Enter the relevant data to define your rule.
- Save your entries.

On the detail screen for your rule, you can define the rule's validity in the following ways:
- You can either define a low to high, meaning that all the employees in the pay scale groups who fall between the low and high values are eligible.
- You can define a low, meaning that only the employees in that particular pay scale group are eligible.
