In this Customizing activity you verify the discount factor for INFONAVIT VSM credits.

According to the INFONAVIT Act, Sec. 44 “in the case of loans granted at times the minimum wage, in the event that the minimum wage is increased above the Unit of Measurement and Update, the Institute will not be able to update the balance in national currency of this type of credits at a rate that exceeds the percentage growth of said Unit of Measurement and Update during the same year.”

In other words, the increase that will be applied (from one year to the next one) shall be the lowest between the increase of the minimum wage and the increase of the UMA (Unit of Measurement and Update in English).

When calculating the INFONAVIT deduction, the system takes the number that you enter in infotype INFONAVIT credit(0370), in field Wage deduction(PMX_CDECR), and multiplies it by the value of constant INVSM (Deduction Factor INFONAVIT VSM).

The system only uses the value of this constant in the calculation when all the following conditions are met:

  1. You create a record in infotype 0370 with subtype 0001 (INFONAVIT) or 0051 (INFONAVIT Renew your home).
  2. In infotype 0370, you select option Times minimum wage or UMA.
  3. Configuration setting UMAIF in view V_T5F99K2 contains value '3' (Apply INFON deduction factor. VSM). For more information, see Customizing activity Activate UNA use.

Run this activity and check the value of constant INVSM.

SAP delivers the constant value according to the law.

For 2018, the lowest increase percentage will correspond to the minimum wage, which was 3.9% (the UMA percentage was 6.77%).

Therefore, the value that must be used when calculating the discount for the INFONAVIT VSM credits in 2018 is: 75.49 (UMA 2017) x 3.9% (lowest percentage) = 2.94 + 75.49 = 78.43.
