The variable rate of a contribution type depends on the employee. To determine the variable rate of a contribution type in accordance with the employee, set the parameters of the FRATE characteristic so that it returns the desired values.

As a general rule, several rates apply to a single contribution. Modifiers and, where appropriate, employee groups enable you to reproduce and store the rate variation for a given contribution.

Create the variable rate contribution modifiers.
