We have provided the following solutions for calculating the social insurance (SI) contribution during payroll calculation:

• Initial solution delivered using HR Renewal 1.0 Support Package 00

• Renewed solution delivered using HR Renewal 1.0 Support Package 16

In order to meet the legal requirements of the Qatar government, the renewed solution replaces the initial solution. Relevant changes in Customizing activities are as follows:

• Determine Default Field Values for Infotype 3301 (Renewed), under General Settings.

The maintenance object is the feature QASIS, which replaces the initial feature QASID or the same purpose

• As of SP 16, activities under Statutory Social Insurance Settings that are relevant to the renewed solution are grouped under Renewed Solution as of SP 16.

We strongly recommend that you upgrade to a support package level that is later than SP 16, and use the renewed SI solution. For more information, see SAP Note 1870396.
