In this Customizing activity, you define the sponsor ID, name, and address of the employer who sponsors the employee.

In Qatar, each expatriate who enters Qatar must be sponsored before the authority issues a visa. The sponsor is responsible for the expatriate while the expatriate is in possession of a visa. An employer applies for a sponsor ID/number from the government. The sponsor number is required on the visa application papers. Once the government issues the sponsor number/ID, the employer enters this sponsor ID in this table.

When expatriates are hired, you enter the corresponding sponsor number in the Sponsor IDfield in the Personal Data (0002) infotype for informational and reporting purposes.

You have maintained the valid types of work permits in the Customizing activity Define Types of Work Permit.

You create an entry for a sponsor ID, and maintain relevant information as required, for example the company licence number.
