You use this BAdI to ensure that customer-specific requirements for the Periodical Salary Increase report can be implemented.

The BAdI is highly flexible. It contains a method, MODIFY_EMP_DATA, which you can use to take any measure of employee data (such as appraisal, educational qualifications, trainings, etc.) and specify a customer-specific periodic increment policy.

For example, if you have a special requirement which states that before employees can receive an increment, they must have a particular appraisal rating for the previous year, you can use method MODIFY_EMP_DATA to implement this requirement.

Method MODIFY_EMP_DATA, contains these parameters:

Parameter Type Use
IM_KEYDATE Importing This parameter holds the period increment begin date, based on the date entered by the report user on the selection screen
IM_PERNR Importing This parameter holds the employee number
EX_MESSAGE Exporting Based on any periodic increment restrictions you specify with this BAdI, this parameter identifies employees during the report process and, depending on your settings, either excludes them from receiving an increment or gives them an increment. For employees affected by this parameter, a message appears in the report output explaining why they were excluded from the increment or why they were awarded an increment with warnings.
EX_DATA Exporting This parameter receives processing details from the report, determines whether the report is processing the periodical salary increase as the BAdI intends, and, if not, changes the process and line with the BAdI's intentions.
