In this step, you define the permissibility of grossup wage types for employee subgroup (ESG) groupings for collective agreement provision and personnel subarea (PSA) groupings. This helps you to process specific wage types for a certain group of employees.

If you require the wage type MG40 to be processed only for salaried employees, then you can define this wage type to be permissible only for salaried employees using the permissibility string.

In the above example, the permisssibility string 1 is assigned to the position 3 and all the other positions are blank. This indicates that this wage type is only permissible for employee subgroup grouping 3, which is a grouping for salaried employees. You can similarly define permissibility of other wage types for industrial workers.

  • You must have created the grossup wage types in the preceding steps.
  • You must have defined the employee subgroup groupings for collective agreement provision for the various employee groups and subgroups in the EE Subgroup Grouping for PCR/CollAgrmtProv. view (V_503_B) by choosing Personnel Management -> Personnel Administration -> Payroll Data -> Basic Pay -> Define EE subgroup grouping for PCR and coll.agrmt.prov. in the SAP ReferenceIMG.

  1. Select the grossup wage type for which you want to define permissibility.
  2. Check whether the grossup wage type is permissible for the employee subgroup groupings and personnel subarea groupings which require the permissibility.
  3. Enter the value 1 for the employee subgroup groupings and the personnel subarea groupings for which this wage type is permissible. Leave the other groupings blank if this wage type is not permissible for those groupings.
  4. Save your entries.
