In this Customizing activity, you define dynamic actions to control the system behaviors.

Advance Leave Management

If an employee is not back to work when the paid leave finishes, we provide a dynamic action to avoid unnecessary payroll calculation for the employee.

Note

In the standard solution, we have deactivated this dynamic action by adding an extra asterisk (*) ahead of each entry. To activate the dynamic action, remove the extra asterisk and make the entries the same as follows:

Infotype Subtype Field Name FunctCharacter Sequence Number
2001 0500   0   *-SET WHETHER EMPLOYEE SHOULD BE LOCKED IN PAYROLL*
2001 0500 00 1 P T001P-MOLGA='AE'
2001 0500 00 2 P P2001-ENDDA='99991231'
2001 0500 00 3 I MOD,3   ,
2001 0500 00 4 W P0003-ABRSP='X'
2001 0500 00 5 P T001P-MOLGA='AE'
2001 0500 00 6 P P2001-ENDDA<>'99991231'
2001 0500 00 7 I MOD,3   ,
2001 0500 00 8 W P0003-ABRSP=''

With these entries, when the HR administrator creates a record in the Absences (2001) infotype, subtype Unpaid Leave (0500), the system triggers creation of record in the Payroll Status(0003) infotype. On the screen, the Personnel Number Lockedcheckbox is selected by default. If the user still wants to include the employee in payroll calculation, the user can deselect the checkbox.

To apply the same logic to other absence types, you can copy the provided entries, and change to other subtypes of infotype 2001. For more information about how to create a dynamic action, see Dynamic Actions(international version).
