In this Customizing activity, you maintain the statutory social insurance (SI) funds that apply for employees who are nationals of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member countries.

You maintain the list of valid statutory social insurance funds in the Statutory Social Insurance Funds (V_T7AE01S) table. These funds are then available for selection in the Social Insurance (UAE) (3251) infotype.

If the Statutory Contribution checkbox is selected for an employee in the Social Insurance (UAE) (3251) infotype, it is mandatory to specify a statutory social insurance fund.

A standard list of GCC social insurance funds is provided by default.

You may need to update the list of standard social insurance funds in the following cases:

• If an economic free zone within the Emirates establishes a new social insurance fund

• If another country (and therefore a new social insurance fund) joins the GCC

• If one of the standard social insurance funds changes their name
