PAY_US_TAX_002 - Activate Tax Reporter Control Number Optimization

The standard system consumes numbers from Control Number's range (RP_TRCRLNR) for each Tax Reporter productive run.

Tax Reporter creates one Control Number in T5UXY table for each Reporting Tax Company that is assigned to the selected Transmitter Tax Companyconfigured in Transmitting Tax Company (UTXTM) feature, even though the Reporting Tax Company does not have any employee belonging to it. This is the expected and correct behavior, common in customers with several Tax Companies.

Entries from T5UXY table that do not have corresponding entries in T5UXXtable can be removed, which makes more Control Numbers available for future executions.

In addition, entries for Reporting Tax Company without any assigned employee are not used by Tax Reporter, but they are consuming available Control Numbers from the number range.

Therefore, in this Customizing activity, you define if you want to enable the system to remove these additional entries in T5UXY table automatically or if you want to delete it manually via Tax Reporter (PU19) transaction.

To do so, in this Customizing activity, you define if you want to enable the system to install the Control Numbers Optimization Checkoption.

To activate it, execute this Customizing activity and modify the configuration option TAX REPORTER CONTROL NUMBER OPTIMIZATION(TRCTO) according to the needs of your company.

Execute this Customizing activity and define the value of the TRCTOconfiguration option by making the corresponding entry in table view Customer Values for Configuration Options(V_T5F99K2) according to the needs of your company. The possible values are as follows:

• ' ': The Control Number Optimization is off.

• 'Manual': Optimization must be run manually. If you choose this option, you need to run the Check Configuration Optimization Check under PU19 transaction, in the upper menu Utilities -> Check configuration-> Configuration Remarks -> Control Numbers Optimization Check. If there are any entries in T5UXYthat can be deleted, double click on Control Number Optimization Check, click on the icon View in Tooland choose Optimize pushbutton in order to delete those entries.

• 'Automatic': Optimization run in TR productive run. By choosing this option, before each productive run, Tax Reporter will execute the same logic as the Manual value option. Also, the system will stop generating Control Numbers for Reporting Tax Company without any employee assigned to it.
