PAY_XX_DP_001 - Check Default Retention Methods of Archiving Rules

In this Customizing activity, you check the default retention methods for the archiving rules.

In the Archiving Group Method (V_T7799B_IRM01) table view, which you can check in this activity, SAP defines the class to be used additionally by an archiving object. The class defines how the archiving object determines, for example, the state as legal authority, or other criteria for each record. Each state can have different data retention rules.

If you have your own archiving groups for which you need this additional retention configuration, you can define in this activity the class that shall be used for the calculation.

If the default SAP configuration does not cover your specific business needs, you can override these settings in the subsequent Customizing activity Override Default Retention Methods of Archiving Rules.

Execute this Customizing activity and check the entries delivered by SAP in the following fields:

• Object type: Technical name of the IRM Object, in this case the archiving object for which the settings are valid.

The names of the archiving groups delivered by SAP for Human Resources in the standard system start with 'HR'.The names of the country/region-specific HR archiving groups start with 'HRC' followed by the two-letter ISO code, for example HRCUS for HR localization US.

• Name of class: The ABAP-OO class from which method GET_CONDITIONS_GROUPING is called to calculate the conditions (for example, the state or other legal authority for each record). This class implements the interface IF_HR99B_IRM_GROUPING. You can change the name of the class only in the detailed view. The class can be edited via the Class Builder (SE24) transaction.

Archiving object HRCUSABDNT uses class CL_HRPADUS_IRM_STATE_0006. This class determines the state based on the Addresses(0006) infotype, that is, if the state recorded in IT0006 is California, then the retention rules of California will be applied by the archiving object.
