PAY_XX_DP_005 - Override Default Reference Date Types

In this Customizing activity, you define which class is assigned to which reference date type, overriding the settings delivered by SAP in the standard system.

The class defines how an archiving object determines the reference area for the reference date type.

You have made the necessary settings in Customizing activity IRM Object Customizing.

SAP delivers the default retention methods in the Reference Date Type (V_T7799B_IRM02) table view, which you can check in the previous activity, Check Default Reference Date Types.

Execute this Customizing activity and edit the Reference Date Type Override (V_T7799B_IRM02C) table view. Make the required entries in the following fields:

• IRM Constant: The technical name of the reference date. You have maintained it in Customizing activity IRM Object Customizing by navigating in the dialog structure to Object Category -> Object Type -> Allowed Start Times.

• Name of class: The public ABAP-OO class from which method GET_REFERENCE_AREAS is called to calculate the reference areas (for example, the method returns a list of states where the employee resided). This class implements the interface IF_HR99B_IRM_REF_DATE_TYPE. You can change the name of the class only in the detailed view. The class can be edited via the Class Builder(SE24) transaction.
