PA_CN_T7CNTPM_3 - Define Total Payment Plan Types and Available Item Types

In this Customizing activity, you can define your total payment plan types and the corresponding available item types. You can define a plan type for a total payment plan, for example, a salary increase plan, or a head count plan, and for each plan type, you can define the item types available for the plan configuration.

You have defined the total payment plan item types in the Define Total Payment Plan Item Types Customizing activity.

The Plan Type view displays sample plan types by default, and the Available Item Types view displays sample item types by default that you can copy or use as a basis for creating your own.

To define your total payment plan types and corresponding available item types, complete the following steps:

1. In the Plan Type view, click New Entries to create a new plan type, or select an existing plan type and click Copy
2. In the Plan Type column, enter an identifier for your new total plan type

This can be a number or name of your choice, for example, 001.

1. In the Text column, enter a description for your new plan type
2. Double click the new plan type you have created
3. In the Available Item Types view, click New Entries to create a new item type, or select an existing item type and click Copy
4. In the Item Types column click the F4 help to select an item type
5. Click Save to save your entries

The total payment planner defines a new plan type, Yearly Salary Adjustment. For the appropriate configuration of this new plan type, the planner assigns the item types, Salary Increment (Monetary), and Stock Increment (Non-Monetary).
