In this Customizing activity, you can determine how the system runs the Total Payment Calculation Application report (HRPAYCNTPM_CALC) in the background on a regular basis by creating report variants and defining the background processing for the report. A report variant uses a combination of certain selection criteria on the selection screen of the report. As a result, the system can update total payment usage data periodically and automatically.

  1. To create a report variant, in the Activity view, select Create Variantand click Choose.
  2. In the ABAP: Program Execution screen, in the Program field, enter HRPAYCNTPM_CALCULATION
  3. Click Execute Variant, to create a report variant.
  4. To schedule the background jobs to run this report, in the Activity view, select Define Background Processingand click Chooseto open the Define Background Jobs activity.
