This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Japan (PA-PA-JP) component.

You can use this BAdI to override the standard data layout settings made in the Customizing activity Define Data Layouts as follows:

  • Minimize the scope of fields that the system verifies, so that you only use a subset of the fields in a data layout as the criteria for data verification.
For example, if some fields in a data layout are not relevant to your company, you can ignore those fields during the data verification process.
  • Change the system response during the data verification process
For example, you can change the type of message that appears when a field does not match the standard field length or pre-defined value.
  • Change the fixed field values
For example, you can cause a field to be updated to a different value other than what is specified in the standard data layout settings.

Using this BAdI, you can alter the data verification criteria but still keep the standard settings aligned with the external institutions in Customizing.

The following BAdI methods are available:

  • Method INPUT_CHECK_DATA
The changed settings apply to the data files when you first import them into the system.
This method is used in the following reports:
  • Data File Initial Checking and Master Data Updating (Group LI) (HJPULV_LINJ0)

  • Data File Initial Checking and Master Data Updating (Group GI) (HJPULV_VANJ0)

  • Method OUTPUT_UPDATE_DATA
The changed settings apply to the verification between data files and the premium deductions in the payroll result.
This method is used in the following reports:
  • Group LI Deduction Result Verification and Return File Creation (HJPULV_LINJ1)

  • Group GI Deduction Result Verification and Return File Creation (HJPULV_VANJ1)
