PA_PA_SOA_2 - BAdI: Customer Enhancements for EmployeeERPByElements

This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Enterprise Services – Personnel Administration (PA-PA-SOA) component. You can use this BAdI for the following:

• Enhancement of the inbound structure of the inbound operation EmployeeERPByElementsQuery_In with user-specific fields

• Enhancement of the outbound structure of the outbound operation EmployeeERPByElementsResponse_Out with user-specific fields

• Processing of customer-specific fields in the outbound operation EmployeeERPInformation_Out

Service interfaces and operations are used to transfer the data from these fields out of the system for SAP ERP Human Capital Management (SAP ERP HCM system) to an external system for further processing.

The BAdI uses the interface IF_PAD_SE_EE_ELMNTS_CONV.

This interface contains the following methods:

• INBOUND_PROCESSING

You can use this method to map user-specific fields of the backend system with the corresponding fields of the inbound operation.

This method is used in the following operation:

Service interface	Operation	Explanation
Employee In	Query Employee by Elements	Query from an external system to the SAP ERP HCM system regarding the personnel numbers and the associated personal data and work relationship data

• OUTBOUND_PROCESSING_COMMON

You can use this method to map user-specific fields of the backend system with the corresponding fields of the Common node in the outbound structure.,,

• OUTBOUND_PROCESSING_NTNLTY

You can use this method to map user-specific fields of the backend system with the corresponding fields of the Nationality node in the outbound structure.

• OUTBOUND_PROCESSING_EMPLOYMENT

You can use this method to map user-specific fields of the backend system with the corresponding fields of the Employment node in the outbound structure.

These methods are used in the following operation:

Employee Notification Out	Respond Employee by Elements	Response from the SAP ERP HCM system to the external system regarding the personnel numbers and the associated personal data and work relationship data

• APPL_PROCESSING

You can use this method to process the customer-specific fields in the information operation EmployeeERPInformation_Out.

This method is used in the following operation:

Employee Event Out	Inform of Employee	Information about changes to the employee master data from the SAP ERP HCM system to the external system

Inform of Employee

If you want to use the business event for employee data, you must first execute all steps required for the business event in Customizing for Cross-Application Components under Processes and Tools for Business Applications -> Enterprise Services -> General Settings for Enterprise Services -> Manage and Test Enterprise Services.

Inform of Employee

In the standard system, there is no activated BAdI implementation. This means that user-specific fields in the inbound and outbound structures of the proxy are not taken into account.

A default code is not executed automatically.

The BAdI is filter-dependent.

The BAdI is designed for multiple use.
