In this step, you define special pay scale groups and their classification. A special pay scale group is either a grouping together of individual pay scale groups, or contains additional job valuation criteria.

Special pay scale group A10/A11:
In HR Funds and Position Management, this corresponds to a position
shared between two pay scales groups.

Since every special pay scale group comprises several pay scale groups, you have to create a new entry for every pay scale group within the special pay scale group. Please proceed as follows:

  1. Enter a Country grouping and select your work area.
  2. Choose New entries.
  3. In the Special group field, define the name for the special pay scale group.
  4. In the Ranking field, enter a number.
This value determines the sequence in which the individual pay scale groups within the special pay scale group are used for classification purposes.
  1. In the PS group field, specify the pay scale group to be classified (in accordance with the ranking specified).
  2. Choose Save.

You cannot create default values for special pay scale groups until you have created the special pay scale groups themselves in this step.
