In this step, you define how the names of pay scale groups are called up dynamically by feature PM001 Dynamic name of pay scale group on the maintenance screens of the Classification (Pay Scale) (1501) infotype for budgets structure elements with FTE budgets, and for positions.

This feature determines the pay scale group name used for classification on the basis of the employee group and employee subgroup (among others) to which a budget structure element or a position has been assigned.

The pay scale group name proposed for the employee subgroup Civil servant is Pay group, and the pay scale group name proposed for the employee subgroup Salaried employee is Salary group.

You must already have created employee groups and subgroups.

Feature PM001 can only be used for the country group Germany (MOLGA = '01'). The description for the pay scale group cannot be changed dynamically.

The infotype salary grading (1501) is accessed to determine the country grouping of positions and budget structure elements already existing. if the position or budget structure element have just been created, they must be differentiated.

For positions, a default value for the country grouping is determined from the personnel area and possibly from the personnel subarea (tables T500P and T001P) defined in the infotype account assignment features (1008) in the position itself or in an organizational unit above. The country grouping of the superordinate budget structure element is used for budget structure elements that are defined under a fiscal budget based on full time equivalents. If the budget structure element is created under a budget structure element on a money basis, the country grouping you entered last is accepted.

If no country grouping can be determined, the user parameter "MOL" is evaluated.

To tailor feature PM001 to your specific needs, proceed as follows:

  1. Call up feature PM001.

  3. Choose Generate.
  4. Choose Save.
