PBC_FTE_1090 - Assign Field Control to Variable Key

In this IMG activity, you can change the characteristics of specific pay scale fields. In this way, you can, for example, define which pay scale fields are displayed for each note type (subtype) when you create "to be reclassified" notes and which should be hidden. This is also possible for subtypes that you created for alternative valuations. These characteristics are assigned to the subtypes using the variable key.

At least one "To be reclassified" note type (subtype) or subtype is defined for alternative valuations. See the IMG activities Define "To be Reclassified" Notes and Define Alternative Valuations.

In the standard "TBR" notes or alternative valuations which apply to positions with CAFPS pay scale, the CAFPS pay scale fields are displayed and the field career group is hidden (return value X).

To display specific changes to the pay scale:

1. Check whether the pay scale characteristics delivered by SAP meet your requirements and change them if necessary. If you require a different field control for a subtype, define your own variable key by copying one of the existing entries.
2. In the next step, you have to define for which subtype the pay scale fields should be displayed. You do this in the IMG activity Assign Subtype to Variable Key.
