In this activitiy, you maintain the values of the constants, No. of hours in a year (A+B) (HOURY) and No. of hours in a year A reg (HOURZ).

In both these constants, you maintain the number fo working hours in a year for a public sector employee.

  • The value of the HOURY constant is used to calculate the absence deductions for an employee.
  • The value of the HOURZ constant is used to calculate the value of salary components like overtime and bonus for employees.

It is recommended that you do not change the values of these constants unless there is a legal change.

  1. Delimit the previous entry.
  2. Enter the new Start date.
  3. Enter the new value.
  4. Save your entries.
