This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Payroll Process (PY-XX-PYP) component. You can use this BAdI to redefine content related to payroll administrator for Payroll Control Center. Currently it is used to define the logic for getting the information of payroll administrators to whom the Worklists (a list of check errors that need to be verified or corrected during different payroll process phases) can be assigned.

The standard Verify Master Data (PYP_MD_VERIFICATION) and/or Verify Payroll Data (PYP_PY_VERIFICATION) process step is used or inherited for the payroll process.

For more information about the standard settings (filters, single or multiple uses), see the Enhancement Spot Element Definitions tab in the BAdI Builder (transaction SE18).

  • PAY_PYD_PC_DEF

The logic in the default implementation does the following in sequence:

  1. It retrieves the active users from the logon user table USR02.
  2. It checks the users' authorization to the current process as assigned in the authorization activity P_PYD_INST
  • P_PYD_INST – Authorization prefix of payroll processes, followed with an asterisk *. For example, PY10*, PY99*. Authorization prefix is defined when process types or payroll processes are created.

  • P_PYD_IAUT – W (Access Worklist)

  1. It provides the user list for payroll process manager to assign alerts to payroll administrators for monitoring and productive payroll processes.

If you choose to define your own logic to get the Payroll Administrator list, you need to create your own implementation of the BAdI. You can choose to deactivate the default one by deselecting it in this Customizing activity.
