In this IMG activity, you define the RFC destination for the PCo agent instance. The communication between a Business Suite system and PCo is effected via remote function calls (RFC modules).

You must create exactly one RFC destination for each PCo agent instance.

You have already created the following data in the PCO Management Console:

  • You have created a source system.
  • You have created a destination system (of the type RFC destination).
  • You have created the agent instance and created all necessary RFC connection data on the Query Ports tab page.

You make the following settings:

  • RFC Destination: Freely selectable
  • Connection Type: T (TCP/IP connection)

On the Technical Settings tab page:

  • Select Registered Server Program.
  • Program ID: Here you enter the value you specified in the Program ID field in the PCo agent instance on the Query Ports tab page.
  • Gateway Host: Here you enter the value you specified in the SAP Gateway Host field in the PCo agent instance on the Query Ports tab page.
  • Gateway Service: Here you adopt the value that you specified on the Query Ports tab page.
  • You can use the Test Connection function key to check the connection to PCo.

On the Registration & Security tab page:

  • Select the Active radio button in the Security Options area of the screen.
  • Choose the SNC function key.
The Change SNC Extension View: Details dialog box appears.
  • In the QoP field, enter the value that you specified in the field of the same name on the Query Ports tab page.
  • In the Partner field, enter the technical name of the RFC server that you entered in PCo in the My Name field on the Query Ports tab page.
