You can use this activity if you want to define periods during which employees are permitted to correct their clock-in/out entries.
If you do not enter any data in this activity, employees are able to process clock-in/out entries from the system time of the current day back to the earliest recalculation date.

Employees can process only clock-in/out entries for the past.

Note
To set which processing modes (create, change, delete) the employees are permitted to use, go to the Define Processing Processes IMG activity.

You can define the periods in conjuction with the following reference values:

Processing Only Within Period

Enables you to restrict the period within which employees are able to process clock-in/out entries. Employees cannot then make corrections for days that are before or after this set processing period.
This function enables you to prevent undesired recalculations for periods that have already been evaluated. In addition, you can prevent processing for the current day.

Processing Dependent on Messages

This function enables you to specify that employees can make corrections only for days for which there are time evaluation messages.
If work in your enterprise spans midnight, you are also advised to activate the Include Adjacent Days function.

If you also make entries under Processing Only Within Period, employees may only process messages within the set period.

Enter the required periods and restrictions.

You can use the CHECK_TIME_CONSTRAINTS method to refine the set period. For more information, see the BAdI: Control Clock-In/Out Corrections IMG activity.
