SAP E-Book

With this IMG activity, for each application component, you can define whether you want to use the new PDF-based forms from SAP Enhancement Package 4 for SAP ERP 6.0. This function enables you to execute the change over to PDF-based forms on a department basis.

When you activate an application component, the system does the following:

  • It offers the PDF-based forms when you call up reports, transactions, etc.
  • It makes some changes to the corresponding user interfaces for calling up reports etc.
Note
Once you have activated an application component, you cannot undo this activation.

You can get an overview of all converted forms using the report RERP_EHP_SHOW_FORM_LIST. The report enables you to navigate directly to any related IMG activities or further transactions to process the forms. The report also gives you information about which software component versions you have to install to introduce PDF-based forms for a business area. You can access the information about the available forms in advance via Note 1241866.

Caution
Before you execute this IMG activity, you have to install the ECC software component version that contains the forms for the required application component (for example, EA-HR 604). If you execute the IMG activity before the corresponding software component version has been imported, you can no longer activate the forms.

In the standard delivery, the new PDF-based forms are not activated.

  1. Install the ECC software component version (for example, EA-HR 604) that contains the required forms.
  2. Then execute this IMG activity.
  3. Select the work area ALPDF.
  4. Select the required application component.
