The Business Add-In (BAdI) /SAPAPO/PINV_ADJUST_PARENT_SFT is used in the Service Parts Planning (SPP) application component.

You can use this BAdI to define how the system changes the safety stock for a parent location at push deployment.

Since you do not put away goods at the parent location at push deployment but forward them straight to the relevant child location, the replenishment lead time is shortened. Therefore, you might want to adjust the safety stock, which is calculated depending on the replenishment lead time.

In the service profile for the combined calculation of the economic order quantity and the safety stock, you can choose whether

  • You do not want to adjust the safety stock for the parent location at all.
  • You want the system to adjust the safety stock for the parent location according to the (shortened) replenishment lead time.
  • You want the system to adjust the safety stock according to your own logic, which you can define in method ADJUST_PARENT_SFT of this BAdI.

If you want the system to use the logic that you define in this method, you have to choose Adjustment (BAdI) in the Adj. Parent SFT for Push Deplfield in the service profile for the combined calculation of the economic order quantity (EOQ) and the safety stock.

The BAdI is not filter-dependent.

The BAdI is not designed for multiple uses.

The BAdI is active in the standard system. In Product Assistance, choose Enterprise Business Applications -> Supply Chain -> Extended Service Parts Planning (eSPP) Inventory Planning -> Combined Planning of EOQ and SFT -> Safety Stock at Parent Location.
