Allows you to define risk analysis profiles for FMEAs.

The definition of risk analysis profiles enables you to do the following:

  • You can perform a common analysis of different FMEAs in the FMEA monitor by specifying a risk analysis profile.
  • You can use the risk analysis profile in a calculation procedure, which enables you to implement a valuation based on action priorities.

You can perform a common analysis of different FMEAs in the FMEA monitor by specifying a risk analysis profile.

You have defined risk matrixes.

You assign the risk matrixes to a risk analysis profile once you have created them under Risk Analysis -> Define Risk Matrixes.

You can create new risk analysis profiles by copying a delivered risk analysis profile with all depending entries. For your copied entries, you can use the keys 1* to 4*, A* to O*, T* to W*, and Z*.

You assign the risk matrixes to a risk analysis profile once you have created them in the configuration activity Define Risk Matrixes.

Make the following settings for the risk analysis:

Classification

You specify a classification for the cells of a risk matrix. Here, the individual cells of the matrix are assigned a traffic light color (red, yellow, or green) to classify a cause in the matrix appropriately.

Total Risk

You can use the Total Risk indicator to specify that the classification of a cause in a matrix is included in the total risk. The total risk is used to determine a general risk value for a cause from various different risk matrixes.

The values result from the classification of the cause:

  • Green = 0
  • Yellow = 1
  • Red = 2

Traffic Light Color for Resulting Classification

In the risk analysis profile, you can define a resulting classification for the color combinations of the three traffic light colors. The resulting classification is assigned a traffic light color that is displayed for a cause in the risk analysis in the FMEA monitor or FMEA cockpit. The resulting classification for a cause is determined from its classification in the individual matrixes. Only those matrixes are taken into account for which the Traffic Light Color indicator was set.

Validity Ranges for Risk Matrixes

If you want to define validity ranges for the risk matrixes assigned to the risk analysis profile (for example, to implement the valuation based on action priorities) you need to assign a valuation profile and a valuation category to the risk analysis profile. The validity ranges can then be defined using the valuations that belong to the assigned valuation profile.

Views

In the FMEA monitor or cockpit, the risk matrixes are displayed on tabs in the risk analysis. A maximum of three risk matrixes can be displayed per tab. You define views to display the risk matrixes.

  • You specify the matrixes that are to be displayed in a view.
  • You specify the order of the display using the sort sequence.
  • You define the width dependent on the number of matrixes displayed.
  • You specify the position of a risk matrix.
