PLMV_AUDIT_CALC_FMEA - Define Procedures to Calculate Result and Rating

In this step, you specify the procedures that are available in the Procedure field for the valuation specification of an FMEA. The procedure defines the key for the formula that will be used to determine the result and the rating of the risk of an FMEA.

If you have defined an own implementation of the Business Add-In (BAdI) PLM_AUDIT_CALCULATE you need to add at least one of the filter values defined in your BAdI implementation in this Customizing activity to make your calculation available as a procedure in an FMEA.

In the standard system, different BAdI implementations are delivered, for example, for the determination of action priority and risk priority number. If you activate the BC Set for the action priority, a procedure is available for this BAdI implementation. You only need to add your own entries if you have developed your own BAdI implementation.

You can do the following:

• Change the description of the delivered procedures.

• Add the filter values of your implementation of the BAdI PLM_AUDIT_CALCULATE as a procedure.

Note that the value help (F4) only shows the values that are already listed in this view. It does not list all filter values that are defined for the BAdI.

• Set a procedure to inactive so that it cannot be used in new FMEAs.

Note

If you use both components, Audit Management and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, you can enter a specific filter value only once, that is, either in this step or in the corresponding step in Customizing for Audit Management. If you want to use a calculation procedure for both components, you need to define two filter values for your BAdI implementation and add one in this Customizing activity and the other one under Quality Management -> Audit Management -> Audit Definition -> Procedures to Calculate Result and Degree of Fulfillment.
