PMKC_LEAVE - Define Rule for Determining Leaving Date

In this Customizing activity, you determine which date is evaluated as leaving date (termination date) in the function module HR_LEAVING_DATE. You do so by configuring the feature Rule to Determine Leaving Date.

The function module HR_LEAVING_DATE is used by the Collect Data for Employees(HRBENUS_ACA_PERSON) report to determine the employee termination date. This date is used to determine the codes for line 14 (Offer of Coverage) and line 16 (Section 4980H Safe Harbor Codes and Other Relief for ALE Members) in Form 1095-C.

Note:

When the employee has been terminated during the break in service, he/she should not be treated as an employee for reporting purposes, while an employee on unpaid leave, during break in service, should be treated as an employee for reporting purposes. Therefore, you must configure this feature so the system can differentiate these two scenarios.

Execute this activity and configure the LEAVE feature according to your needs.

Note:

The function module HR_LEAVING_DATE is used in many functionalities in the system. To ensure that no other behavior is altered, use the *****field to configure the return values in feature LEAVE for ACA.

More specifically, use the VARKY field as 'ACA'. The return value should be when the employee must be considered as terminated. For more information, check the documentation on feature LEAVE.
