Enable change document support in Process Observer.

Scope item Order-to-Cash Performance Monitoring (‫BKN) is deprecated. Therefore, SAP recommends that you do not activate and set up scope item BKN. Instead, please use the apps for sales monitoring and analytics. You use this Customizing activity to enable change document support in Process Observer. Change documents allow you to monitor field level changes in documents such as the Sales Order document, the Purchase Order document, and so on.

• You have scheduled the BOR queue.

• You have identified the change documents, and the fields in these change documents that you want to monitor.

• You have created appropriate tasks in the process facade layer that correspond to the fields identified for monitoring using the Customizing activity Maintain Objects in Facade Layer.

Example
You have created a task Payment Terms Changed in Sales Order (with Business Object (BO) Type 114 and Task Type ID 922).

1. Choose Maintain the list of change documents. You need this activity, for example:

• If you want to monitor any field changes in the Sales Order Document. For this, add the Change Document Object: VERKBELEG.

• If you want to enable the Sales Order Document for monitoring. For this, select the CD Active checkbox.

1. Choose Maintain Fields within Change Documents to maintain fields in the change document and to map them to the tasks created in the Customizing activity Maintain Objects in Facade Layer.

You need this activity, for example, in order to monitor the ZTERM field in the Sales Order Document. For this, you must maintain the following details:

Table Name: VBKD

Field Name: ZTERM

BO Type: 114

Task Type ID: 922

You can also select the CD Active flag to enable the ZTERM field for monitoring.

Note
For each field level change in a document, a generic BOR event is triggered that gets enqueued in the BOR queue.
