POC_INSTR_BOR - Map BOR Events to Tasks

You use this Customizing activity to map BOR events to tasks defined in the Facade Layer. Based on this information, Process Observer converts BOR events to tasks and displays Business Object details in the Process Monitor.

• You have identified the BOR objects and their corresponding events in the system.

• You have defined the tasks in the process facade under Maintain Objects in Facade Layer.

Complete the following:

1. Map the Process Observer business object types to the BOR object types. The BOR object display methods will be used when selecting a Business Object in the Process Monitor.
2. Map BOR events to tasks. Process Observer converts BOR events to tasks for further processing based on this information.
3. The Data Relationship Browser (DRB) is used for automated predecessor determination (required for creating the process chain in Process Observer). However DRB only returns related objects (predecessors and successors). Maintain the priority of the returned DRB object types here in order to define the relevant predecessor BO types.

If more than one business object has been returned by DRB, you can define the relevant predecessor by assigning the highest priority to the predecessor business object type here.

Example
If you have "ABC" as a business object with A1 and A2 as predecessor types, and you assign priority 10 to A1 and 20 to A2, A2 takes precedence during the process log generation.
