In this Customizing activity, you map previous Business Object Repository (BOR) objects from the BOR payload. To determine the process instance that a given BOR event belongs to, you must first determine the previous object instance of the current business object instance. Sometimes, the previous object ID is part of the BOR event payload.

The mapping of the previous business object ID from the payload will be used at runtime to determine the previous business object.

Note
Mapping the previous business object is generally the fastest way to determine the previous business object ID and you should do this if possible. It requires technical analysis of the BOR event payload if this is possible.
  • You have identified all BOR events for which no predecessor object can be automatically determined.
  • You have checked the payload of all relevant BOR events using the Business Object Builder (SWO1).

SAP delivers some sample entries which you can refer to as examples.

  1. Enter the object type and event ID.
  2. If there are multiple predecessor objects, enter the sequence number. Repeat for each predecessor object.
  3. Enter the name of the parameter.
  4. If the parameter is a structure, enter a fieldname.
This defines which value to take out of the event payload.
  1. Enter the business object type.
  2. Save your entries.
