This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Process Observer (CA-EPT-POC) component. You can use this BAdI to implement a specific previous business object determination for a BOR event. Previous (=predecessor) object information is relevant in the connection of events to process chains.

By default, predecessor information for BOR events is done with the Document Relationship Browser (DRB). You can use the BAdI implementation in the following situations:

  • DRB does not support your object.
  • You want to override generic DRB functionality in order to improve the performance in event processing.
  • The predecessor information is not part of the BOR event.
Note
You do not need to add the business object itself as a predecessor.
