POC_JNET_VISUALIZE - Define Graphical Presentation of Process Instances and Process Definitions

Process Observer provides a graphical presentation of process definitions and process instancse, for example in the Process Monitor and the Process Definition Viewer. You can optionally adjust the presentation, such as colors, fonts, the type of data shown, and so on.

The details of this graphical presentation are controlled through a transformation that converts the data into an XML that is consumed. SAP delivers default transformations that can be used as templates for customer-specific visualizations. The IDs of these transformations must then be configured either as a general default or to be used based on process definition ID.

There is identical configuration for the presentation of process definitions and process instances that works in an analogous manner.

SAP provides default transformations, they are named POC_JNET* and can be found in the transformation editor. If no transformation is given, POC_JNET_INSTANCE_CLASSIC is used. A general default can be set in the "Parameter and Values" view, SAP recommends to used POC_JNET_INSTANCE, which supports extended functionality in the area of federation.

Create a transformation as required based on the transformation delivered by SAP. Check the transformations delivered for additional default. Some understanding of transformations and JNET is required.

The transformation can then be entered as a default transformation in view "Parameter and Values" against Parameter ID POC_JNET_INSTANCE. This transformation will be used for all process instances unless a different transformation is defined for a given process definition.

To enable a transformation for a given process definition enter it against the Process Definition ID in view "Transformation for JNET visualization".
