Define logging of process definition.

Scope item Order-to-Cash Performance Monitoring (‫BKN) is deprecated. Therefore, SAP recommends that you do not activate and set up scope item BKN. Instead, please use the apps for sales monitoring and analytics. For more information, see https://help.sap.com/SAP_S4HANA_CLOUD/ -> Product Assistance -> Sales -> Order and Contract Management -> Sales Monitoring and Analytics.‬

In this Customizing activity, you define whether or not a process definition should be logged.

You can make one of the following settings:

  • Standard logging: The system performs logging for the process definition.
  • No logging: The system does not perform any logging for the process definition.
  • Extended logging: The system allows you to configure logging for a process at the business object level.
Note:
  • You can use the POC_MONITOR transaction to view the process logs.

  • You use this logging if you are aware of the process and the participating business object(s) but you are not aware of the task type(s) for the business object that gets triggered during runtime.

  • You can view these logs using transactions POC_TASK and POC_TASK_ORPHAN. However SAP recommends that you to use the POC_TASK transaction.

You have created a process definition in the Customizing activity Create and Maintain Process Definition.

This Customizing activity is not mandatory. If you do not define a setting, the default setting is ‘No logging’.
