In this IMG activity, you can define a transition matrix for a resource or resource group in process manufacturing.

The transition matrix is only evaluated in the Process Flow Scheduler (PFS).

An example on how the transition matrix can be used, is the cleaning of vessels whose "transition time" for cleaning is to be automatically considered in scheduling by the Process Flow Scheduler.

1. Define your resource setup group.
   Enter a transition matrix for each resource setup group (resource/group of resources).
2. For the transition, either enter the absolute setup time or a recipe. If the transition is to take place using the setup time, also enter the unit of time.

To prevent the matrix from getting too large, you should combine materials of the same material type into groups. You combine materials in Materials Management in the Work Scheduling view.

If you only maintain one field (predecessor/successor group), the empty field is valid for all materials used at this resource in the recipe.
