In this step, you define wage groups for operations, phases, and secondary resources.

By allocating a wage group to an operation, phase, or secondary resource you can categorize the type of work to be performed in the corresponding work step from the point of view of job evaluation (for example, unskilled vs. skilled work). When confirming a phase or secondary resource, you can report the wage group that was actually used.

However, in the standard system the wage group does not affect payroll accounting.

Note:

An SAP enhancement is available for the interface between production planning and HR incentive wages (see Implementation Guide for Incentive Wages, section Integration with Logistics. You can use this enhancement to adjust the interface to transfer the wage group as collective agreement group to the time tickets that are created or generated in incentive wages with reference to an order or confirmation. However, note that:

  • The wage groups and collective agreement groups are maintained in different tables
  • Wage groups are maintained at plant level, whereas collective agreement groups depend on the collective agreement area and type

You must ensure data consistency yourself.

Define the wage groups you want to use in your plant.
