In this IMG activity, you define the formulas you want to use to calculate the following data on production resources/tools (PRT):

  • The PRT quantity used during order processing
  • The total usage value, that is, the wear and tear of a production resource/tool expected during order processing

You can allocate the formulas to a production resource/tool in the following locations in the system:

  • In the master record of the production resource/tool:
The formulas you enter are either referenced or copied to the corresponding PRT assignments of the master recipes
  • In master recipes when allocating a production resource/tool to an operation or phase

Note

Since production resources/tools are not yet supported in the process order, the formulas do not have any functional significance in PP-PI at present.

The formula parameters you want to use in your formulas must have been defined in the system.

Define the formulas you want to use for your production resources/tools.

When carrying out the activity, note the system displays both PRT formulas and formulas for resources. The resource formulas serve to calculate capacity requirements, lead times, and costs.
