In this IMG activity, you define the usage keys for production resources/tools (PRT) with PRT master records (miscellaneous) and material master records.

By defining the PRT usage, you specify in which task list types a production resource/tool may be used. In this way, you can restrict the usage of production resources/tools to specific applications (for example, plant maintenance or quality management).

You allocate the PRT usage to production resources/tools when you create them.

Note:

You also define usages for resources. In resource usages, you also specify whether resources may only be used in the order until it is released or whether they can also be used for production. For production resources/tools, this information is ignored.

  1. Define the keys for your PRT usages.
  2. Assign the valid task list types to the usage keys.
