PPPI_PO_338 - Stock and Batch Determination for Goods Movement

In this step, you specify parameters for automatic stock and batch determination per plant, order type, and business transaction:

• You assign a stock determination rule

• You can switch off stock or batch determination

The business transactions handled for process orders are:

• Backflushing of components during confirmation

• Picking

For stock determination, you require a strategy according to which stocks are withdrawn. The withdrawal strategy is assigned to the combination of stock determination rule (plant/order type/operation) and inventory management group (material master) (Define Strategies for Stock Determination).

For batch determination, you need batch search procedures of stock determination. You assign these for the purpose of determining goods movement to the individual movement types of batch determination.

1. Enter the plant, order type, and business transaction.
2. Assign the stock determination rule if stock determination is to take place.
