PP_MRP_CR_RETRIEVE_P - BAdI: Retrieve Priority for MRP Change Request

This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Material Requirements Planning (PP-MRP) component. You can use this BAdI to define how priorities for MRP change requests are determined.

If you use the Schedule MRP Rescheduling Checks app to create rescheduling proposals, a priority can be determined automatically for each proposal. When you create a change request based on a rescheduling proposal, the same priority is automatically assigned to the change request. Together with the change request, the priority can then be transferred to the supplier to provide additional information about which change requests are most important and must be processed first. Before you send a change request to the relevant supplier, you can manually adapt the priority as required.

Using this Business Add-In, you can specify which criteria you want to use for the automatic determination and assignment of priorities to rescheduling proposals and change requests. When you implement this BAdI, you override the automatic assignment of the default change request priority that is specified in the configuration settings for Define Priorities for MRP Change Requests.

The method RETRIEVE_PRIORITY is available for this BAdI. An implementation of this BAdI returns a change request priority based on the values specified for the import parameters.

• You have defined priorities for MRP change requests.

• You use the Schedule MRP Rescheduling Checks app to create rescheduling proposals.

You can find example implementations in the BAdI Builder on the Enhancement Spot Element Definitions tab in the Implementation Example Classes section.

The example implementation CL_PP_MRP_CR_PRIORITY_EXAMPLE is available for this BAdI. It includes a mapping for the change request priorities 01 to 04based on different values specified for the import parameters.
