This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Material Requirements Planning (PP-MRP) component. You can use this BAdI to define how reasons for change requests are determined.

If you use the Schedule MRP Rescheduling Checks app to create rescheduling proposals, a reason is automatically determined for each proposal. When you create a change request based on a rescheduling proposal, the same reason is automatically assigned to the change request. Together with the change request, the reason can then be transferred to the supplier to provide additional information about why the change request was created. Before you send a change request to the relevant supplier, you can manually adapt the reason as required.

Using this Business Add-In, you can specify which criteria you want to use to determine reasons for rescheduling proposals and change requests.When you implement this BAdI, you override the predefined determination criteria.

  • You have defined reasons for MRP change requests.
  • You use the Schedule MRP Rescheduling Checks app to create rescheduling proposals.

For more information about the standard settings (filters, single or multiple uses), see the Enhancement Spot Element Definitions tab in the BAdI Builder (transaction SE18).

You can find example implementations in the BAdI Builder on the Enhancement Spot Element Definitions tab in the Implementation Example Classes section.

The example implementation CL_PP_MRP_CR_REASON_EXAMPLE is available for this BAdI. It maps the exception keys U1 to U6 to the change request reasons S1 to S6.
