PSM_V_FMBS_HIE_ACT - Activate Multi-Level Budget Structure

Use this activity to activate a multi-level budget structure (MBS) for a given FM area for or from a specified fiscal year. Note that this is a higher level activation. If you want to define an MBS or use one to carry out budgeting, you have to activate it first.

You can activate an MBS for one fiscal year or for a range of years.

We do not deliver any standard settings.

1. In the maintenance view, choose New Entries and enter the relevant FM area and the fiscal year from which activation is to apply.
2. Check the Activation indicator for your entry and save your work.

• You cannot deactivate the MBS in a specific FM area if you have defined MBS's for it in Create Budget Structure.

• You cannot deactivate the MBS in a specific FM area and fiscal year if it has been assigned to that FM area and fiscal year in Define Settings for the Budget Structure.

You want to activate the MBS for the fiscal year 2005 and 2007 in FM area FM01. To do this, make the following entries in this IMG activity:
