Data protection in Social Services supports Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) for business partners. The protection of personal data in Social Services are separate processes in SAP CRM and in SAP ERP.

  • Social Services Data Protection in SAP CRM
    For more information about Social Services data protection in SAP CRM, see the CRM Customizing under Customer Releationship Management -> Industry-Specific Functions -> Public Sector -> Social Services -> Basic Settings -> Data Protection in Social Services.
  • Social Services Data Protection in SAP ERP
    Data protection for Social Services business partners (including BP master data and business transaction data) is supported by SAP ERP 6.0 enhancement package 07.
The function module PSSC_EOP_BUPA_CHECK provides the end of purpose check for Social Services business partners, available in the central data protection Customizing under Customizing Implementation Guide -> Cross-Application Components -> Data Protection -> Blocking and Unblocking of Data -> Business Partner -> Define Application Function Modules Registered for EoP Check.
Note:
The exchange of Social Services data between SAP CRM and SAP ERP requires a RFC destination. Define this RFC destination in the ERP Customizing under Customizing Implementation Guide -> Cross-Application Components -> Data Protection -> Blocking and Unblocking of Data -> Business Partner -> Define RFC Destinations of Systems Connected to Master System.
