PTA_NPO - Maintain Personnel Transition Allowance (PTA)

In this IMG activity, you maintain the Personnel Transition Allowance (PTA) for an employee.

PTA is paid during the period when the rate for the post adjustment in a county is under review. The amount is a percentage of the basic pay and is fixed by International Civil Service Commission (ICSC). It can be paid in addition to post adjustment allowance or alone.

ICSC reviews the post adjustment rates every month.

1. Copy the Model wage type M055.
2. In the activity screen, select Personnel Transition Allowance Maintenance.
3. Select New Entries.
4. Enter the Duty Station in DS field.
5. Enter Employee Group Subgroup grouping in Grpg field.
6. Enter the date from when the employee is eligible for Post Adjustment Allowance in Entitlm. St- field.
7. Enter the date until when the employee is eligible for Post Adjustment Allowance in Entitlm. End field.
8. Enter the validity period of the duty station.
9. Enter Personnel Transition Allowance Multiplier in PTA Multiplier field.
10. Save your entries.

In February, for Czech republic, post adjustment multiplier is 34.0 and PTA is 10.0. For February, staff members at one of the duty stations in the Czech Republic will get 10.0 % of base salary /12 plus the regular post adjustment. Normally, the PTA multiplier is reduced with each following month up to zero, or the ICSC board can offer a new adjusted value for Czech Republic.
