PTFMLA_010 - Assign Absence Types to FMLA Reasons

In this activity, you define which absences with which reasons can be granted FMLA coverage.

You also define whether the absences can be used for both intermittent and continuous FMLA absences and how they are to be assigned to an FMLA request.

Note the information in the Use Absences for FMLA activity.

1. Select an FMLA reason and double-click on the Permissibility of Absence Types entry in the dialog structure.
2. Enter all absence types that can be granted FMLA coverage for the given FMLA reason.
3. For each absence type, specify whether it can be used to record intermittent and/or continuous FMLA absence times.
4. For each absence type, specify whether it is to be assigned automatically when it is recorded in the system. The system can automatically assign only absences that are recorded using Time Manager's Workplace technology.
