In this activity you determine which fields are available in the Several Days View for time events.

In Release 4.6B the field selection is available for demo purposes alone. You can create field selections but cannot generate them. This means that you cannot display the field selections in the Time Manager's Workplace in Release 4.6B.

You should assign at least the same fields to the Several Days View as you have assigned to the Day View so that users see the same fields when they switch between views.

  1. Choose New entries.
  2. In the Field selection field, enter a name for your field selection and in the Short text field, a descriptive text.
  3. Save your entries.
  4. Select the field selection.
  5. Choose the Customizing Settings for Field Selection activity by double-clicking it in the dialog structure.
  6. Choose Maintain entries.
The fields listed under Selection fields can be chosen for the field selection. The fields listed under Selected fields are the fields that you have chosen for the field selection.
The technical name shows whether a field is a display field or an input field. To display the technical names of the fields, choose Field name (structure). Fields that belong to a structure ending in "_DIS" (DISplay) are display-only fields. Fields that belong to a structure ending in "_MNT" (MaiNTain) are ready for input.
  1. Select the required fields.
You can change the sequence of the selected fields by moving the fields up or down. To do so, select one or more entries and choose the arrow pointing upwards or downwards.
  1. Confirm your entries.
  2. If required, enter in the Display length field how many characters you want to be displayed for each field.
  3. In the Input field, define the fields that you want to be ready for input.
All fields that are ready for input are flagged as such as a default. If required, you can make them not ready for input.
  1. Save your entries.
