PYC_D_PYPISP - Define Process Instance Parameter Values

You use this Customizing activity to define the values of the instance parameter for a process. The system uses these parameter values to generate process instances.

You have assigned process templates to processes in the Customizing activity Assign Process Templates to Processes.

After you have defined process instance parameter values, you run the Generate Process Steps (PYC_GENERATE_STEP) report to generate process steps and then run the Generate Process Instances (PYC_GENERATE_PROC_INSTANCE) report to generate process instances (which include process step group instances and process step instances).

Select a payroll process that you have defined, and specify the values for the instance parameter for the process.

Note:

You define the check logic for the parameter values in the run time class of parameter type in the Customizing activity Define Parameter Types. Make sure the parameter values you enter for the instance parameter comply with the check logic. For example, if the instance parameter is ABKRS (Payroll Area), the parameter values you enter must have the same PERMO (Period Parameter) value.

You have a process Regular Payroll with the instance parameter ABKRS (Payroll Area).

In this Customizing activity, you specify the value US for the instance parameter ABKRS .

As a result, the report PYC_GENERATE_PROC_INSTANCE generates process instances for payroll area US for the payroll periods specified at run time.
