In this Customizing activity, you can enter the groupings for a pay grade regulation.

The case group and the pay grade group subdivide occupations within a pay grade regulation.

Note:
In infotype Basic Pay(0008), you can only select occupations that also have an entry for the case group and that correspond to the pay scale group selected in infotype 0008. If an occupation is not subdivided into case groups, then there must be at least one entry available per pay grade group permitted (the case group is then left blank).

The standard SAP system provides sample Customizing for the TV-L and TVoeD (federal) pay grade regulations.

To use the sample Customizing, compare the values with client 000.

To enter another case group, start the Customizing activity, choose a pay grade regulation in the dialog box, and proceed as follows:

  • Choose New Entries.
  • In the column Case Group, create a case group, consisting of an alphanumeric code with a maximum of four digits, for the previously selected combination of occupational code and pay grade group.
    Then create an entry if you do not need any subdivision into case groups for an occupation. In this case, leave the field for the case group empty. For more information, see the Use section of the SAP Note above.
  • Select the start and end date.
  • Choose Save.
